George Floyd: Athletes to be banned at Tokyo Olympics

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has reiterated that athletes are still banned from protesting at the Olympic Games, SportingLife reports.
This follows the decision of other sports, to allow protests following George Floyd's death in police custody.
Rule 50 of the Olympic Charter states "no kind of demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda is permitted in any Olympic sites, venues or other areas."
This means that athletes who breach the rule will be disciplined.
The IOC had issued guidelines in January this year, banning protests include taking a knee and other gestures.
Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man, died after a white Minneapolis policeman kneed into his neck for nearly nine minutes on May 25.
His death sparked protests globally against racial injustice, with several soccer players in Germany's Bundesliga delivering their own messages of support during games.

Real Madrid vs Eibar ended 3-1 as Los Blancos returned to La Liga with a not too convincing win over their opponents. The Jurgen Klopp inspired side clinched the title on Thursday night, without kicking a ball, thanks to Manchester City who lost to Chelsea at Stamford bridge. Details of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury deal for two fights revealed

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have agreed a 50-50 split for their first fight in 2021, the Daily Mail reports. There will, however, be a 10 percent jump going into the rematch. That means the sharing formula will change to 60-40 for the second fight. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn and Fury's co-promoter Frank Warren have confirmed that progress has been made in talks over the double-header, especially the money part. However, there is still a lot of work to be done in making the fight. First, Fury and Joshua must first come through bouts with Deontay Wilder and Kubrat Pulev respectively. Taiwo Awoniyi was taken off with a stretcher to the hospital during Mainz Bundesliga 1-0 defeat to Augsburg. The on loan Liverpool striker was involved in a clash of heads with a German-born of Nigerian descent Felix Uduokhai.
